lol, that is one way to spend your time. Probably way more research than is worth doing but being able to tag each beer with the states they distribute to would be a cool sort feature.

Did a little digging and found more info on stupid beer laws in Oklahoma: If a brewery wants to sell their own beer on premise they must sell that beer to a distributor and rebuy it from the distributor. In some cases the beer never even leaves the brewery so they basically pay the distributors...

Only data I have is that is 0.2 gallons of beer consumed per 21+ year old for 2013. The most consumed, Vermont with 15.1 gallons consumed per 21+ year old. *edit: And that is a good point about the drinking landscape. WA for example is amongst the top in breweries-per-capita but is only in...

Oh, and one of the worst is South Dakota. They only produced 4000 bbls of beer in 2013 out of their 10 breweries. Bend, OR probably has 10 breweries that each produced more than 4000 bbls of beer.

Yeah, they are pretty bad. Alabama only JUST legalized homebrewing in 2013 and it was actually a major fight in the state legislature. But there are bad states (as far as craft beer is concerned) littered throughout the country. I don't remember the specifics but I was listening to a podcast...

Not at all, some states are still facing crippling prohibition-era laws that really stifle any growth in the craft beer scene. Some examples: Alabama- 13 total breweries (0.4 per 100,000 people) Arkansas- 13 total breweries (0.6 per 100,000) Louisiana- 11 total breweries (0.3 per 100,000)...

In the Mike Singletary era the Niners lost a game to Atlanta because a dude didn't fall down after an INT and was stripped. But iirc the situation was a little different because the Niners could have kneeled out the clock (or left only a few seconds). Maybe it was my PTSD kicking in but at the...

I've been looking to find some dark lagers as well because one of our upcoming homebrew-club competitions is a Schwarzbier. The selection is admittedly limited, so far I have had the Uinta Black Lager and the Sam Adams Black Lager both of which seemed pretty tasty but I *think* were kind of...

This is when I find out the legal limit of how long you can have a barking dog (5 minutes per hour from 8:00am-9:00pm for me) and I make the most of the allotted time. I have a mini-aussie that loves to bark but so far it seems that I am the only person who is actually annoyed by it (it probably...
