I was worried about the bigger screen too. Now, I look at my wife's iPhone 5 like it's an old Blackberry. You won't regret it, Crone.

You can't say that Android OS "sells more". Phones that run Android sell more because there are way, way, way, WAY more of them, they are cheaper, they can be (and are) tailor-made to certain markets, etc. It's not a reasonable comparison. The "it sells more" argument, and the "but iPhones...

Dragon Age: Inquisition (Plot Details in Spoilers!)

Mounts can help greatly with cliff scaling, too, if that's your thing. Really, though, they feel like a (poorly designed) afterthought in this game.

There is only one set of "KMS keys" these days. They allow the use of a custom KMS in an enterprise to activate Windows. If you're going to Microsoft for activation, you aren't using those keys. You are using Microsoft's KMS with a retail key (or VL key, which are handled the same way these...

Everything he said. Also, sometime during the active development of JRE7, a change was made to a specific set of security routines that now actively blocks any JRE app that used a widely-used security API call. This means that if you want to run any of these apps (e.g. any older version of...

    Windows 8

A lot of things that used JRE 6 won't run on 7, or 8. Especially older software that hasn't kept up with the changing API and still uses an older security model. There are newer versions of 6 that are still being patched, but they are only available from Oracle with a service agreement in place...

    Windows 8

Sorry, lost me after this. All I do all day at work is support Microsoft products in an enterprise, and I wouldn't trust them in the cloud to save my life. It has nothing to do with the stability of their products; rather, the fact that I'm not in charge of (or even in the know about) how their...

I use my HP like that, connected to a TV. Same thing with the power button. I leave it on most of the time, but when I do have to shut it off (to clean it, to move things around, whatever), I have to open it to press the power button. I suppose Wake On LAN would work too, but I've never bothered.

I used to pay ~$110/month for my iPhone with Rogers (our version of AT&T). The second my contract was up, I ran for the hills. $38/month now with a smaller carrier (WIND Mobile), but it lacks some of the features of the big players like visual voicemail.

Furmark is a great tool for proving to Dell that your laptop's GPUs are fucked. Regardless of their state, they will be dead by the time you're done with Furmark. It's a beautiful thing when you have a warranty. The best part is, the last time I had to run it, the tech actually seemed...

I don't even understand that. I've been less than careful with mine and it still hasn't bent. Who knows, maybe it's carelessness combined with structural defects in some phones more than others?

I've had my 6+ since release day. I keep it in my pocket all the time. Had it in my pocket for ~1000 sq ft of flooring and other renos and it didn't bend, so, you must have to be the king of morons to bend the thing by accident. Bending it on purpose, well, yeah, easy enough -- but who bends...

    Dr. Mario's Retard Rehabilitation Program

It's arguably easier to work with, yes, but only because much of the ESXi feature set is sorta-kinda spread out across Windows as well. Think Remote Desktop Services vs. VMware View, SCVMM vs. vCenter, Hyper-V Manager (part of RSAT) vs. vSphere Client, etc. It's alright for entry level...

    Computer Issues

Not sure if that pinpointed the problem, Gravy, but my laptop was doing this as well, and it was the video card heatsinks in my case. I had to tighten them up before it stopped randomly shutting off (thermal issues, clearly). It was mostly while gaming, but sometimes even the 2D clocks would...

    Dr. Mario's Retard Rehabilitation Program

Normally I wouldn't post in here, because luls, but: I have absolutely no idea why you're saying this. I work with both on a regular basis. VMware is leagues ahead of Hyper-V in enterprise scenarios. The only reason you'd want to go with Hyper-V above VMware is cost, so, small/medium business...

    Windows 8

Right, because they've never introduced a line of Windows that had Starter, Basic, Premium, Professional, and Ultimate (and Business, and Enterprise) in it, right? I mean, it's not like they did this with Windows XP, right? Wait, there are 14 different SKUs for Windows XP. Vista? 18 different...

    Desktop Computers

As far as I know, OEM keys no longer exist with Vista and higher. A key is a key is a key. The only reason it wouldn't work would be that it's already been activated too many times, in which case, yes, call Microsoft to activate by phone. When it asks you how many computers are using this key...

Really liking this game so far. The latest nVidia drivers brought a reasonably large performance boost, though. Before I updated, ouch. That said, this is the first game I haven't realistically been able to play at 5760x1080 on Ultra. Time to convince my wife to let me upgrade to 970s!

If you're not going with a monitor, IMO, I'd go with the bigger screen, for a few reasons (some of which you've mentioned): 1. The specs are pretty much the same except for the screen. You're not losing anything by going bigger except a few bucks. 2. Touch screen, as you mentioned. I don't...

If it isn't moving around much, I can't honestly see why the Y70 wouldn't be a better buy. If you do a bunch of travelling, sure, smaller makes more sense. Obvious question that will invalidate this opinion completely: Gonna use a monitor with it at home?

Interesting. I wonder if this is due to the demand? They are a smaller outfit. Maybe they've dug themselves into a hole so deep that they can't see their way out of it right now. Those who have bought a OPO, have you had any problems with it? A friend bought one and, while he hasn't quite...
