    Star Trek: Picard

I have a feeling the old museum ships will come back into play. They mention all the current Star Fleet ships have a networking feature, which I suspect will get targeted like the Cylons did in BSG. So they’ll have to use older ships without that upgrade. If we get Worf on the Defiant, 7 on...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Picard season 3 has been good. In a way it’s too bad it’s ending now, since the new show runner and the writing have turned it into what people expected for the series in general I would love a proper post Voyager era series

HBO would probably push for more than TLOU2 if the numbers stayed high, although I still think they are going to suffer the “Glenn effect”

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

You def need those regen pots you can buy if your class lacks sufficient self sustain. I tried soloing and the floor 10 boss was doing too much auto attack damage for me to survive, even using a steel pommander. This was with 79/54 atherpool

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

It’s kind of true. I like how they touch on this during the actual MSQ: in their eyes, you’re a psychopath who has murdered thousands and why rank and file soldiers shit their pants when they realize who you are

    The Mandalorian

I wonder if this will be the Grogu flashback episode that dealt with the Jedi Temple massacre during Order 66. The season 3 trailer showed a quick snippet of that. Having another Jedi/force user show up to dredge up those memories would make sense, so I think you’re right that Ezra or Ashoka...

    Star Trek: Picard

Maybe, but Beverly mentions Jack having nightmares as a kid. Unless that is a red herring, it suggests some manner of continuity between him as a kid and now in terms of the nightmareish visions.

    Who died? (Celebrity Deaths)

Yes, happens all the time. I know what you're implying, but I can assure you people died of various "natural causes" /w no reported health issues or pre-ex conditions all the time pre-covid in droves as well. Biggest culprit: 1) Most men don't see a doctor regularly and ignore "minor" things...

    Back 4 Blood

It wasn't "woke", it was just bland and convoluted 1) The card system, while nice on paper, just translated into a confusing experience early on. You gave players lots of choices with little practical input and your character felt gimped with bad choices 2) The gun had a loot rarity/attachment...

Yes, it totally stretches the realm of possibility that a guy who lives with his mom, who is an expert in medicine, would have actually learned medicine.

    Carnival Row

Ya, this was the final season and that was the finale. Agree on those Agreus points - he fucking destroyed those goblin guards, like that one that was like broken in half. The molten gold repair work on the horn was cool.

    Carnival Row

Wrapped up decently enough, although still pretty open ended in the scheme of things. I did like how Imogen and Agraius are going to basically be like a Westinghouse or Edison entity in the world - they did sort of hint at it in season 1 when he showed her the lightbulb technology. Philo's...

    Willow

100% it was related to the need to save money. To be honest, this actually makes me more nervous about The Orville. McFarlane mentioned the D+ numbers were going to influence Disney renewing the show. If Orville was pulling Willow like numbers, then that doesn’t bode well for an additional season

    Star Trek: Picard

In the teaser trailer for S3 of Picard, I think it was Geordi that recognized Lore. I suspect Geordi will run into Worf/Raffi when they head to Daystrom, then connect with the rest of the crew after that

    Star Trek: Picard

Ya, the current showrunner was the guy behind the 12 Monkeys TV show. It's a shame Picard wasn't like this from season 1 and onward. Season 3 is basically what everyone thought the show was going to be when the Picard series was first announced.

The relaunch novels are noted on one of the ST wikis. Some are side stories and some are main story. Like for example there is a whole novella devoted to Rom as Grand Nagus.

    Star Trek: Picard

The relaunch novels started off good, but that started to get less unified as time went on Stitch in Time (the Garak one) was probably the best of the batch and actually written by Andrew Robinson

    Star Trek: Picard

That’s possible as well. That vision of people screaming in the transporter did seem odd - unless it was a warning of sorts His visions do seem all over the place and it is still a mystery on what is going on with him. He basically went Jason Borne on that part in the hallway, like it was...

Killing Pershing would have been easier, but instead they used eliminating him to keep an imbedded mole in the organization If he was flat out murdered, then there would presumably have been a bigger investigation than “shit, this imperial tech fried this dude’s brains. Chalk up another bit...

    Star Trek: Picard

If they're willing to wipe the mind of an asset like that, then that suggests they either have someone who can carry on his work, or they didn't need him anymore. Assassination would have drawn too much attention and clearly they want to stay on the DL - effectively eliminating someone who...

It had some redeeming qualities. The dude who played Boorman as a Mad Martigan standin was one of the few likable characters. And some of the callbacks were nice. IMO they could have cut down on the CW teen angst crap and made the some characters more likable (the daughter was too unlikable...

https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/jenna-ortega-rejected-wednesday-offers-film-star-1235554072/ Interesting interview. Seems like Jenna Ortega was getting annoyed by how Wednesday was being written and had to actively try to fix it on set.

    Cocaine Bear (2023)

It was “Sharknado” funny - basically the dumb premise is the humor and it is an intentionally dumb premise vs unintentionally. But if that doesn’t appeal, then the movie is just dumb Syfy Saturday schlock

    The Last of Us

That detail alone made me question their plan. If it was interconnected with the host in some manner of symbiotic relationship (or benign parasite), then wouldn’t it be more important to figure how that works? If you kill the host and try to replicate the infection and it doesn’t work, then...

In the game, didn’t they want to kill Ellie because they wanted to harvest all the fungus that had grown interconnected with her brain and nervous system? It always came across to me they wanted a lot of material to work with and didn’t have any contingencies to find a safer option, which seems...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Ammo is fairly easy to get now for free, even high end ammo. If you run Daily Ops (the dungeon thing), all the enemies drop the Ammo type you used to kill them. Even ultracite ammo. The only thing they don’t drop is fusion/plasma cores. They also drop enough of it that you leave with more...
