No do the DLC first, if you beat the main story you will have to do some/most of it again to access the DLC. The DLC also some some really good NG++ ring drops so there is that.

Considering it is 300+ for just the base game anywhere online I picked up the 190.00 version for base and expansion. Kind of a no brainer.

At the end of each mission, you will be rewarded with relevant loot - weapons, consumable quests, trinkets, hats, crafting material and more - all applicable to your chosen career. Awesome, the dice/random loot at end of map really killed the fun some times.

Took the last fortress and uninstalled, ended at level 37. Fun game, on to the next!

Yeah you will get the ring that increases cast speed soon I imagine and then some decent spells but typically you are going to need a melee weapon first run through as well. Dark sword was nerfed but it is still a killer, you can +crystal or +dark it, both good choices.
