    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

The parents thing is actually a semi decent trait and they money you send back is trivial. They just gave me a free starship. Nothing amazing, but it’s free lol I’m having fun with melee build. I’ve got a double damage on full health axe, so I usually just rush pirates and 1 shot them lol...

Speaking of piloting, came across my first ship I needed a higher skill in piloting to use. Was one of those Red Fleet ghost ships. Sucks you gotta invest so deeply in that skill to unlock that.

I was wondering about that - Shadowheart seemed like an outlier. You had to wait until act 3 to actually bang her. Everyone else is like "nice to meet you, let's fuck"

No, I didn't check that. Is that in the default cockpit as well?

Ran across a shitty bug. So one of the modules you can put on your ship is an armory. Pretty cool thing that lets you display guns and suits. So I put the Grandma's Space Marine armor on one of the displays. Later on, I redid my ship a bit. I never deleted the Armory, I just had to move it...

On a side note, I had picked the trait where you have parents in the game and can visit them. They’ve given me some cool gifts, but i noticed their voices sounded super familiar. Pretty sure Tim Russ and Nana Visitor are voicing them, so basically your parents are Tuvok and Kira lol

    Writers Guild Strike 2023

Ok, a shitty movie idea made by a Greek dude and some pretentious people like it because it is "daring". Your point? If we want to play a game of "let's find an extreme example and use that to misrepresent an entire industry/ideology", that is a pretty easy game to play.

    Writers Guild Strike 2023

This type of view is honestly pretty funny. "Shit I don't like exists, so I would rather it all burn down than just ignore the shit I don't like or support stuff I like". This forum is a classic example of the stick in the bicycle wheel meme. "I hate Hollywood, I will pirate this movie" "This...

The MSQ starts kind of slow. If you aren't liking it, I strongly recommend starting the Vanguard Recruitment quest series on New Atlantis. Although if you bring Sarah, keep in mind she is pretty lawful good in terms of alignment lol

The last time this happened, all that occurred was more "reality" TV got produced instead and they began importing more entertainment from other countries.

Ya, it's gotten to the point where I just leave them behind if I am planning to kill stuff for XP. Or do stealth.

    Writers Guild Strike 2023

While I know it is popular to dunk on shitty shows, keep in mind good shows sometimes get the axe because of the strikes. The Terminator TV show got prematurely canceled in large part due to the writer strikes at the time That would also require they produce stuff that doesn't suck balls...

Ya, after I did the quest there, I climbed up that tall ass mountain and the other side had a massive valley with a ton of POI. Then I got 2 shot by a predator and my last save was like 20 min earlier lol >_>

Went on a mission to see what was up with some colonists. Ended up being the movie Aliens, complete with constant darkness and rain, a "xenomorph", and proximity sensor beeping. Was pretty cool lol

Adding NMS-style stuff would technically be easier than actual crafted RPG elements. Just release a DLC focused on base building and planet variety, kind of like how FO4 had some of those DLCs focused primarily on stuff like building your own vault and making robots for your settlements. Even...

The worst is when I killed some pirate and they dropped a legendary, then before I had a chance to loot it, another pirate appeared and we traded and both died at sametime. When I reloaded, I assumed maybe it was a set drop. Nope, next time the same pirate just dropped trash

Because lots of shows and movies were already finished or in post-production by the time of the strike. Since production of new episodes is now effectively on hold, you'll notice even larger gaps between seasons for example. Or some shows just might get canceled.

Yes, you can buy cargo modules that boost your shit. If you look at some of the prebuilt ships the dock guy sells, one has over 2k cargo storage. I do agree the intro wasn't very good, mostly because of the presentation. You go into a mine, touch some metal thing, get a vision, then go...

The game sort of does tell you. The example you gave, the guy on your first long rest telepathically tells you he can’t last much longer and talking to any companions will have dialogue like “we need to help this dude”. If you long rest a 2nd time, he dies because you took too long. Afaik the...

So typical BGS game. Fallout had the same deal: certain instanced building interiors were usually the same layout with cosmetic stuff to make it look slightly different NMS does the same thing. It does kind of suck, but you’re going to expect that in procedurally generated content or...

The problem isn’t high risk so to speak, the risk is lots of people with high risk. That might all file a claim at once. Think a local bank. If only a dozen people pull money from their accounts, it isn’t a big deal. But if 50,000 people all line up at the bank at once, then it is a problem...

The Amos stuff is nothing to sneeze at - I mean, his jumpsuit and a shotgun went for over 12k I'm not surprised the power armor stuff all went for big bucks, although my estimates were low. Bobby's PA going for over 30k! You know that is going into some dude's sci-fi museum collection lol

It is, but it does sneakily get more people to do the Hildi content since it is gated behind that. There are lots of cool trials as part of those quests. I strongly suspect they'll have something Bozja-like in the next xpac for relics.

2 was fine as a kid, but it doesn’t hold up as well as an adult. I do feel like 2 did get some great cultural traction, though. Pretty much any tearing a heart out of a chest always feels like it was inspired by the Mola Ram scene

I would agree. A lot of the BG3 music was fine, but sort of like World of Warcraft fine: some background stuff to fill the void Raphael going full Disney villain with an angelic and then sinister tonal changes throughout the song was amazing, though It also fit with the character considering...

Those old door games used to be amazing. Local BBS also had Pimp Wars, which was hilarious at the time. From that list, I think The Dig was the last classic “point and click” adventure game in that style I ever played. It had a pretty epic sound track for the time. If I recall the story...
