    Twitch.tv

That is an apt comparison. Reality TV gave you glimpses into "real" people's lives (mostly scripted, but w/e). Streaming basically pushes that concept even further...you still get those glimpses, but you also get to interact with them in real time

    New World

In beta they had PvP scaling so PvP was technically viable at all levels, but high levels (rightly) complained that what was the point of getting gear if some level 20 scrub in noob armor can do the same damage as some guy decked out in BIS gear. True normalization scaling would have been a bad...

    New World

The patch notes mentioned something related to OPR I think. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a minimum GS scaling (ie, if you are sub 600, you get bumped to 600) vs. full normalization

    Cyberpunk 2077

I would give one piece of advice: Have a good idea on what build you want going in. Respec isn't really viable in this game (it exists but costs a fuckton of money). A lot of weapons and abilities are stat point locked.

    World of Warcraft: Classic

I can’t imagine there will be much demand for post wotlk classic. Cataclysm will be meh. Maybe MoP+ Cata combined, but then you’re getting into the past 10 years and nostalgia won’t be as strong It feels like the rose colored goggles fall off post WOTLK

Only reason I would even half consider playing this is OG Wintergrasp. Literally the only PvP I enjoyed in this game. I loved using the siege engines and gun emplacements

    Ashes of Creation

New World tried a combo. As expected, players usually Zerg the uninstanced stuff and they had to roll back some of the Zerg penalties because humans are assholes and people would intentionally troll. Like Kazack world boss in WoW “oops, sorry I got in range! I didn’t mean to trigger the...

    Ashes of Creation

I would argue that non-instanced was less dangerous in highly camped areas, like Sebilis or Lower Guk. It was so fucking camped that you could typically never see a single mob in most areas. The most "danger" was someone training stuff on you. Plus in EQ1, most of the danger was losing a...

    Ashes of Creation

WoW’s balance was a function of player limits. Like bringing a King’s buff paladin. That paladin was suboptimal and literally all they brought to the table was a raid buff. So another player lost a slot to a mandatory buff bot. Or take class stacking. Remember those raids where they would...

    Ashes of Creation

Because everyone is a meta chaser now, or because hard content caps how many people you can bring In EQ1, bringing sub-optimal classes on raids was no big deal because you could have like 80 people just zerging But when you are player capped, one DPS class that does 1/3rd the DPS of another...

Right. Like others have mentioned, Youtube's discoverability for live streaming is total dogshit. It basically uses the same dumb algorithms they use for the regular Youtube videos and recommendations and even if you get to the right area, the UI is pretty suck and makes it hard to even find...

Not really. Maybe like half an episode, then Leia gets kidnapped by cartoony villains and it goes downhill

    Andor

I watched the first 3 episodes. It feels like a show that could exist independent of the Star Wars IP and still work. That isn't a bad thing in this case, because it feels really different than normal Star Wars shows or films. It feels more gritty/"real", but not in a grimdark way. Like you...

lol I had forgotten about the reboot of reboot. I never watched it, but apparently it had almost nothing to do with the original show beyond them bringing back Megabyte and Hexidecimal and a brief cameo by Bob, Dot, and Enzo

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

WoW2 is unlikely, unless you forced wow1 to shutdown. And dusting off old mmo mechanics isn’t a good idea. New World tried that and bled hundreds of thousands of players. All the “easy travel ruins the game” dopes who fail to realize the novelty of traveling every where slowly gets really old...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

The RTS ship has sailed for now. Even from an esports perspective, team games are the "in" thing. Solo "duels" like you saw in Starcraft don't bring the views like they used to. I still think that if they did some looter-shooter quasi MMO with the Starcraft IP, that would be their best bet...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Pretty much this. It's the sequence of middling or bad expansions that really drive the playerbase away in larger numbers. If Dragonflight ends up being dogshit, WoW numbers will crater and probably never recover.

Even so, medical care is still too fucking expensive in this country and lots of people get stuck with shitty high deductible plans through their employer Ever looked at an itemized bill from a hospital? Where do you get Tracer from that? She had a wall phase move, which was the only Tracer-ish thing about her. Based on the video, seems clear this is a support hero since all the stuff they showcased was her healing or buffing her team.

Season was pretty good. Joker as a Bernie Sanders type mayor is great. I also liked the exploration of Bruce Wayne and how absolutely fucked up he is psychologically.
