    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

yeah I haven't rolled with armies much, so my leadership skill is trash (75?). I'll have to roll deep with allies when I start playing again.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Man you're rolling 400 deep? My max party size is just over 200. Is there a breakdown in Bannerlord for party size bonuses like this is in warband?

Oh man that'd be a terrible idea. Almost as terrible as signing up for a project run by a clueless leader with no experience.

I'm not. Nexus has their bullshit vortex or whatever manager but I've never used it. I just manually control what's in my modules folder and select stuff in the bannerlord launcher.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah I saw that. I'm kind of thinking of using something like that but only giving my children the ability to control parties, or otherwise limiting myself to the number of companion parties I have to the # of companions I should actually have (5 or 6?)

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I also bet that another consequence that might be implemented later is that you kill the head of a family because he's annoying and you just don't know how his heir is going to be. Would be really interesting if you could have some control over that by making an informal alliance with a third in...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I'm hoping we get the next patch in the next couple days that changes a lot of campaign stuff. Could be delayed though, unintended consequences of tweaking that stuff have to be common. Frankly I think they should let raw changes go out and let the spear hit where it may.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

One thing I liked about Warband is that as you took over the world you could bring peace to the inner areas of your kingdom by letting your lords patrol them without having a marshal ruck them up every week. This let villages stay healthy and brigand free, increasing the prosperity of the region...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah I haven't really strategized a good siege strat up but from my experience what you describe sound about right. The siege AI is just not ready yet. Frankly I think it's one of the big things that Bannerlord might not get right ever, because the engine just isn't designed to do cover fire...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

It's not as deterministic as warband was. Sometimes I'll roll up to a siege with my 36 person party and immediately they'll sally. Other times they'll take a few days and sometimes they never will. If they don't sally I can't beat them, so I have to make trebs/cats to destroy their defenses and...

That 700 vs 1500 sounds like an epic fight. You should record those fights in OBS and post them. I actually really like watching people's huge bannerlord battles. re: units, this is the best breakdown I've seen...

how close are you to conquering the world now? Is it getting harder as you get further along? I'm hoping they release the patch that makes lords train a bit harder before forming up armies and marching to the enemy. In my current playthrough I'm rolling with the Khuzait and we've got a bout...

I wouldn't sign up to make an MMO led by anyone who hasn't already some level of a leadership position in a successful MMO release. If you'd like to make your own MMO, earn your stripes first by joining an MMO game development company and making their next MMO successful. If you're unwilling to...

Been a long road but I'm super happy we're back to being able to send our own astronauts to space. Best part is this is just one of a handful of reasons to be super excited about space exploration in the next year, let alone the next decade. This isn't just some one-off, massive taxpayer funded...

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Greece)

I'd love nothing more than for AC:Ragnarok to copy Shadows of War's randomized NPC system. They did it kind of half-hearted in AC:Odyssey, but Shadows of War put soooo much emphasis and budget on it that it'd be hard to replicate. Really the entire combat system in SoW was built around the...

Arkk's Weight Lifting / Fitness Thread

Some people get real uppity about the "quality" of their weights, but it's all just heavy ass steel. I bought this 300lbs set for $215. It has a barbell in it too, that I'd replace with a better one if I started lifting more than 400lbs. Otherwise you can get plates for about 1lbs/$1...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Here's the first big battle I fought. Took me like 10+ attempts to win. I basically just had my troops ride around like bitches in the back to split their troops up. Normally we'd stride in and just start swinging and end out on top.
  30. Tuco

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I did this. Basically T1->T3, T2->T4, T3->T4 for all the cultures. The game is totally different now. Battles take much longer and are way more epic. My companions with T6 armor get trashed really easily and I have to use them sparingly. I'm trying to make a video of it in a fairly even but...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

When I fight the mongols (khuzait) I find the best counter to their horse archers is to cheese the piss out of them by running to the edge of the map, let them try their circle staff bullshit and then charge into them with my cavalry swinging polearms when they circle strafe right into the edge...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

true false, the elite classes are as good as my companions, but they are rare in an army and the bad horse AI really mitigates most of their impact. true! false! The difference is unmistakable. Besides, the companions don't really do all that much killing in a big fight unless I circle-cheese...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah, its really powerful but the real problem is how fast and how damaging the swingable polearms are. You just cant swing a polearm like its a long piece of PVC pipe and if you could, it wouldn't cleave a man in two like it does. The menavliatons don't have the reach or speed (damage) to...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

It's the javs vs swords mod. Without it they'll frequently use their swords which makes them garbage-tier troops. With it they will chew up the front-line of the assaulting force extremely well with javelins and then when the forces crash holy fuck do they smash with their overhead attack. I...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I'm kind of curious to see what it'd look like if instead of a horde of menavliatons I had the battanian fian champ archers just gatling-gunning everything. I figure that any army with shields would eventually get close enough to turn it into a melee fight where the fians would still roast...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I figured I'd create a video of a typical big fight with my Menavliatons before I put the game down for a while. Realistic damage on for everyone. Challenging combat AI. Glaive is a blacksmith built one with 200 range. Companions all use glaive + bow. They could've cut down the enemy army for...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I think I'm going to take a break from bannerlord until they make it so lords don't go into battle with recruits constantly. One of the fun parts about Warband and its mods was that you'd start in on a different culture and have to adapt your strategy and fighting style for them. Pendor and...
