    Jupiter's Legacy

I did to, until a failed insurrection against lawfully elected president just resulted in the impacted party doubling down and looking for more ways to subvert democracy and yet they are still allowed to keep their positions

    Jupiter's Legacy

The show does address it. George fallout was supposedly over the code, the brother thinks the code is shit, all the kids think it is shit and ones who don’t die. Utopian is so afraid of power corrupting Supes that he basically would rather do nothing of consequence if it means taking a stance...

    Battlefield 2042

Not all BF3 private servers handled hackers well. I remember joining one and the admin threatened to ban people complaining about non existent hackers, as a dude on the enemy team killed us in spawn with a machine gun from across the map and through 30 buildings. He was either in on it, or a...

    Jupiter's Legacy

Right, the Boy Scout code is supposed to feel frustrating. It’s clear there is, and have been, massive divisions about it in the past. Like when the brother mentions they could have ended WW2 in minutes and saved millions of lives from death camps, then Utopia is so afraid of slippery slope...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

I do like how FFXIV does that. As you progress through the game, it teaches you what all the symbols mean. It starts basic with simple concepts like spread apart, stack up. Then it goes to other more complex types.

    Ashes of Creation

Twitch MMOs would be more in the vein of something like BDO or TERA - action combat that requires far too many hot key presses and is virtually impossible to be a "clicker" in it. I never liked BDO much because combat felt like you had to be constantly moving and activating 20+ hotkeys at the...

Right, it always gets back to the "everyone wants to be the wolf, not the sheep". Once most of the playerbase realizes they will always be the sheep, they will stop playing.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

The TNG thing had nothing to do with balance, it had to do with "how do we convey this given the restrictions placed upon us?". Usually the restrictions were coming from executives or the studios bank rolling the whole thing, not the writing staff. Like Original Star Trek. The scene where...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I think what you’re experiencing is quality of writing issues. “SJW” stuff has existed for decades. Beyond just being hyper sensitive to it now, some writers have a tough time balancing message with story. Good writers make the message part of the story, bad writers try to make the story part...

    New World

Maybe I’m thinking chardock. But point is you usually had to preform, travel all the way there, then hope everyone stayed. If one person had to drop, you were fucked because it was in the boonies and PUG was non-existent for the most part

    New World

Right, but then the meta becomes “easy to get to dungeon” is the big one. Shit like Diremaul in WoW or City of Mist in EQwere ghost towns because it was such a pain in the ass to get to them.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Blizzard took the feedback poorly and reduced abilities overall years ago. Shit that you can click and use every now and again is fine (like eye of kilrogg). People just get salty about in combat abilities that are frequently used.

    Jupiter's Legacy

Goatface might be right. They mention minor and major for Supes, so I assume the 6 and their offspring are majors and sailor offspring would be the lesser powered ones perhaps. Although that would be kind of hilarious if all minor/lesser power Supes were the results of port of call brothels or...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Ya, seems like legitimate conclusion that the separation of Jeff and Blizzard probably wasn't 100% mutual. I do agree that Activision will continue to assimilate Blizzard. Blizzard as a name will continue to exist so long as the brand name remains profitable.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

I would strongly suspect this is very true. You go from "what's fun?" to "what does the algorithm say is most profitable for ROI?". The 2nd only works for so long before players begin to see through it and walk away.

    Who died? (Celebrity Deaths)

Literally, it's basically the neurotoxin from botulism. One of the issues is with repeated usage in the same area, it fucks up your natural tissues/muscles and ends up accelerating the aging appearance of the person. Also when people use those fillers and the rest of their body shrinks back...

Probably this. Rigid orthodoxy vs something more flexible. In theory Sheldon’s code is nice, but like they point out, it isn’t keeping pace with reality. The code in the show does make a division more realistic

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

The movie had a better ending than the story, IMO. In the book they keep driving until they run out of gas somewhere in Massachusetts, claim to have heard a radio broadcast that Connecticut doesn’t have the mist, but have to figure out how to refuel the car without dying and it ends there on an...

    Jupiter's Legacy

Pacing wise it kind of reminds me of Witcher. They even use the same flashback format, although this show at least makes it easier to figure out when it is a flashback you are watching. The flashbacks also enhance the show because you see how a character is in the past, then how they are in...
