lol @ cheating to advertise. I hear more ambitious cheaters are using bots to camp out on gyms with multiple-accounts. Ex: You'll roll up to a level 10 gym and there will be 8 snorlaxes owned by Tommy_001, Tommy_002 etc. Not sure what Niantic can do about that. Botting is super easy in this game.

IMO: 1. Change battle mechanics to be exactly like the original games. Turn based, type damages, move sets, TMs etc. 2. Make pokemon spawns much more strongly defined. So you can easily find nests for nearly all pokemon types if you're willing to travel.

My opinion is that without rule changes or bad server performance a move will cause a splinter. If we let the new owners go against their word first, we have enough cassus belli to switch more cleanly. A lot of vocal people here are ready to switch, but many aren't without seeing any evidence...

Yes, but it's non-trivial. It's more work to get the data into the new site than scrub it from the old one. I still have a bunch of threads backed up from FoH that nobody has wanted to host. Making accounts for everyone is a lot of work too, but makes the transition easier.
