I got insta gibbed by anything dangerous if it was melee and got close to me in my last heavily modded FO3 and FONV playthroughs, I can't imagine using melee in a hard configuration of fallout.

what build do you have without agi? I feel like if the range is good, Blitz is a must have for melee and the other perks are must haves for firearm builds. Gap closing is the biggest thing missing from melee in FO3/NV, and that's the answer IMO.

Unlike gore and karma, VATS is an integral part of the Fallout experience, so it's not pussy shit for it to be in FO4. However, I hope that bullet time is modded into FO4 quickly. It dramatically improved the experience in FONV.

I'd agree if the regen offset whatever stat penalty they have. From the wiki it says that radiation reduces max health instead of special (which I disagree with but whatever). If the tradeoff is half health vs 1 hp / 6s regen then ghoulish isn't that good. Regen in fallout has historically not...
