Oh no question that helped, but why break it up? He didn't seem to be regressing. I'd feel safer giving Welker a 2 year deal, and his familiarity with Brady/offense, than a 5 year one to a fragile, unfamiliar player.

They get younger, but yeah 2/12 got it done for Welker ,and is far more durable. I don't get it. Why fix what wasn't broke, and bring in a guy making the same amount. Amendola is no slouch, but Welker is just a superior player.

I've heard of 3TE schemes, it's usually short yardage/goal line though. Can't recall ever seeing 4 TE on the field at once, or used in the way its being proposed here.

It's tough to say based on last seasons results how good Tannehill is, or isn't. He will be running the read option offense this season. He's not RG, or Luck speed wise, but he's not slow, and throws extremely well on the run. Certainly not a pure pocket passer. His biggest issue last season...

He was. He is still very good at pass protection though. His run blocking which was his biggest asset when we drafted him, was just not there at allthe past 2 seasons.

I'd be shocked if Jake got that much. 10M should be more than enough to land him.
