Fears are unfounded. FF14 allows omnicrafting and gathering. While a healthy chunk do this, even more don’t. Economy is healthy and you can make profits off the people who don’t do that sort of thing Just keep in mind gathering bots are a real thing in this game and temper your expectations

I suspect the respawns are tied to server/zone population. You need fast respawns if you have a fuckton of people in the game or area, otherwise you get some bullshit like Overseer Zane where he spawns like once every 15 minutes and you have people just insta-gibbing him the second he spawns to...
