I'm worried less about the focus of time making player tools for the EK and more worried that they won't stick to their vision of campaigns being the meat of the game. Even now you see all the MMO fans focusing on the EK and ACE needs to stick to their guns.

I hope that's not the direction. I want the campaigns to stand alone as much as possible and the EKs just be a loose-connection between iterative campaigns. The more tightly integrated the EK is in the campaign the more each campaigns feels less like an MMO that resets and more like a lobby...

I haven't played w3 yet, but if it's anything like w2 there's no need to play w1 unless you enjoy it. The backstory and library of characters in Witcher isn't massive like Bioware games where Mass Effect 3 was just a sequence of visiting previously introduced characters and stories.

After DAI I'm dubious of completion numbers. DAI was so full of fluff and people loved it like they've never played an MMO before and it was new to them. Meanwhile I felt like there was 50 hours of content stretched to 100 hours of game.
