I have a Nexus5x which should have 2GB of memory. But it seems like PoGo closes itself any time I go to a different app on my phone. I know android tries to close apps to ensure memory is available, but is there anyway to make it less likely to close Pogo?

Yeah the map won't help you level much unless you live Gavinrad style. 94 found pokemon is a lot. I doubt I'll be able to get that much at level 24 without changing my routine. I'm at 71 and level 22.5 right now. I go out to different cities/parks now and then, but most of my time is spent in my...

I feel like they've missed the mark with the way they've copied ingress for pogo. There's a lot of ways they can improve it, but I feel like using their trailer as a design example for the game is pretty suitable, so I trust them to do the right thing. In my opinion, city, state, national...

egg IV is individual value. Basically represents how perfect they are. A pokemon with an IV of 50% will have worse stats than one with 100%. 83% is good, not great. But it getting lick is important and it was good enough for me to boost. Now I want to go fuck up some gyms. More info here...

What would really be useful is if this technology was used to discover high-value spawns. Ex: If I knew there was a Dratini spawn in a neighborhood half an hour away, that'd be a fun trip to make.

Got my first Snorlax from a candy, has Lick/Body Slam (best moves I guess?), 2000CP and 83% IV. I'm pretty happy about it.

You're 'supposed' to either wander around hunting them, or run a 60 minute or higher circuit. However, the spawn time decreases to closer to 5 minutes if you lure a stop. Find 4 stops you can hit and you'll probably find other people who collectively lure it. Right now that's the best way to...

Correct. This was assumed as soon as we knew that multiple people can catch the same pokemon. It's unknown whether level interacts with incense, however.

Yeah I'm not worried about it being a cash grab. I'm more worried about them just keeping the current, fairly light-weight and pokestop-camping focused game design.

lol, yep. I don't know niantic and I don't know mobile gaming but I wouldn't be surprised if the only difference between Pogo now and a year from now is more cash shop items + generation 2/3 pokemon.

As much as I hate the idea of cheating, the idea of people roaming around neighborhoods/parks going to the exact location where a rare pokemon are is better gameplay than camping out on a 3 or 4 lured spawn and just spinning + catching. I'm hoping they move toward a complex, AR-based tracking...

Dunno but once a decent maphack is published it's going to spread and then stress the servers. It's not hard for them to shut down the maphacks, they just need to do it.

added, thanks. Some pokemon will cause your ball to curve away. You need to throw with a spin in order to catch them. Best to practice spinning the ball and get good at it. My standard throw now is spinning clockwise, then throwing to the left of the pokemon. Sadly yes. I hope they nerf that...

Until they have an AR-based system to track pokemon the feet are fine. Having a semi-precise estimate of distance makes it way too easy. The maphacks people have now should be easy to patch.

Everyone sees the same pokemon. So if you are cruising around at level 28 and see a blastoise, a level two will see the same one. It is just that when you catch it, it will be cp 1500, and the level 2 will get a cp 50
