Ya, Eureka is basically EQ1/FFXI throwback MMO within a MMO.

When the Henson children sold off the muppet/Henson production rights to Disney, they didn't sell off everything. They kept the rights to Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and Farscape.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

Although it is important to keep in mind that the way and means by which they diagnose the condition has changed since the early days. It becomes hard to determine if rates have actually gone up, or we're just detecting it more/have increased the range at which someone will be diagnosed as...

The Japan reactor was also an older design (1960s or so I believe in terms of the reactor design). That factored in as well.

    World of Warcraft: Classic

In early vanilla, there was no death coil /w horror mechanic I believe (that was added much later), and succubus seduce did have rapidly diminishing returns (I think by the 3rd time it only lasted a second or two, and target had immunity by 4th attempt). Soulstone was a 30m CD, so you only had...

The person who wrote the guide on Kedge Keep back in the day actually used me as the reference source for the material in it. I spent so much time in that zone and I was a master at getting solo Lord Kedge pulls. That was my favorite EQ1 zone lol

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Warlocks had it pretty rough 1) Free kills in PVP. The only defensive tool we had, fear, got nerfed in PVP because players didn't like that their free kill could make them run around helpless and actually stand a chance of fighting back. But rogues stunlocking you until dead was perfectly...

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

This is pretty interesting. It seems like more and more studies are finding pretty tangible links between our micro-biomes and our overall health or mental status. The autism link is intriguing and it also makes me wonder if based on this, there might be further studies to determine what...

More warlocks being forced to summon people. Do you remember having to summon an entire raid to Kazack before soul shard bags existed and begging people to pull shit back to you that gives XP so you can create more shards (which used to be 1 per mob)? Because I sure do. No one wants to travel...

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

Every Godzilla since the early days always had shitty human drama parts, so I'm not surprised. But you need that because shitty human drama doesn't drain your budget as much lol

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Instant dungeons made it so you could actually do stuff while trying to find a group. Before instantly appearing there, you either needed to sacrifice long periods of time trying to find a group or hope others were willing to do the same. As a warlock, so many people abused our summons, so I...

Travel time in wow without flying mounts was shit. Part of the reason I refused to dump engineer is the portal devices could literally save you 20+ minutes of fucking travel tedium. Stop lying to yourselves. In eq1, if you had the option to AFK the entire run to ToV or insta port there or fly...

Quest class armor isn’t as good as shire armor. You get shire armor in Idylshire from Rowena’s. It all costs poetics, which you should have lots of. Then you can augment the armor/weapon to boost its ilevel and the augment item costs 100 poetics. If you are running duty finder, you should...

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

They can probably just go straight into this one. All you really need to know about Godzilla is sometimes they're a "good guy" and sometimes they're a "bad guy", but in both cases, shit is getting wrecked.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

We're a month away from SrB. I wouldn't go nuts on spending lots of money on a 380 crafted, especially since it isn't super hard to get a 400 weapon from running Omega and the Return to Ivalice raids.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya, the dungeons/trials can be a PITA. The drops aren't guaranteed, so you may have to run them many times. Also, because the BLU rush is over, it may be hard to find party finders still going for the purpose of learning spells.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Blue Mage is an experiment, really. It is a "limited class". Can only level to 50 at the moment and you can't do normal roulette/duty finder or command missions. You can do preforms via party finder, though (which is the primary way you'll get into the dungeon/trials that "drop" spells)...

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

It's PG-13, so I doubt there will be any human gore. It will just be people having shit toppled on them, or mass frying, or (like the trailer showed) people getting blown 100s of feet into the air by hurricane winds. But I imagine it will be implied more than explicit. Although to a 4 year...

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance

Ya, those scenes where that one skekis is draining the life essence from gelflings and turning them into blank eyed zombies or whatever used to be creepy as fuck to me when I was a kid. I was also didn't like the part when the crab things murder the strider-rabbit mounts.

    Chernobyl

It has to do with the radioactive isotopes involved with the substance itself and how quickly they decay, and how much radiation a particular substance absorbs. The foot -is- still very dangerous. It's just a matter of exposure time to become lethal levels. If you ran in, took a photo, and...

    Chernobyl

It primarily has to do with how contaminated the object is in terms of radiation exposure/absorption and what the half life of that radioactive contamination is. That is part of the reason why some areas in Pripyat/etc are considered "safe" for short term exposure 30+ years after the fact, but...

The fact the prior TP using abilities are now free to use is MASSIVE. As a SAM, my ability to AoE was always capped by TP bar, since the AoE combos would drain your TP like a mofo. Now that they are removing the multi-target penalties AND making it free to use, SAM are going to be fucking AoE...
