I just ignored the whole thing and ended DS2 with like a hundred effigies and spent most of the time at 75% life. It was just a stupid addition IMO. I played both.

We did the tree boss 3x last night. It's really hard to avoid his attacks. His attack animations look like someone shaking a tree and every once in a while a branch falls off. He also does this slam attack where he has this prolonged pre-attack animation, then attacks in a random direction...

I'd try to do both equally. Get your gear up to a decent level at 50 with whatever methods you have, then move to Mediah and level there. The wealth you generate at Sausan's and Elric's is pretty good.

The new photo viewer is a piece of crap. Luckily the old one was still left in as cruft and I could enable it by editing the registry. I also figured out how to permanently disable windows defender. It's annoying it wasn't in the windows defender configuration but in some hell hole.
