The bows they added are a legit sneak attack weapon. If you get all the max rank bow perks (12 perception to equip them all), mr sandman, and sneak attack, you do a fuckton of damage. Combined with the Chinese stealth suit and you've got a pretty nice silent ranged attack setup.

You can break boxes and hope to get MP restoring mako shards, or you have to use abilities/materia that allow you to restore MP (like Aerith using soul drain). Hardmode is basically new game+, so you carry over your stuff. Leveled up materia is a must.
