Modules arent locked into a single mech when you buy them, they are interchangeable the same way weapons and engines are. Just go to the modules tab in the mechlab and drag it over. You will have to unequip it from Mech A if you want to equip it on Mech B though which is annoying later on when...

It's because of what I said earlier, torso armor is shared between the front and rear. You have 70 in your center torso and 18 in your rear center torso which total 88. Lower one to be able to put additional armor points in the other.
