Request a refund if you want, but doing it because of problems in the first week of launch is a little silly. People on this forum should know better than to come into launches and asking for refunds days later. Take a couple weeks off then come back. The queue issue will be fixed by then.

Why use char creation over char select?

I'm sure it's the same as wrestling. If you're tall you have to find a way to use it to your advantage and mitigate the detriment from having a high center of gravity. If you're short you have to use your low center of gravity to your advantage.

I wouldn't worry about whether you're in the patron queue. People that are in the general queue report times ~60% greater than what patrons report.

Exactly zero people in PRX said they had a sub 2 hour queue last night, so Scapes is full of it here.

Kyrios is one of the worst, but pretty much all the servers are fucked. If I had a casual friend who wanted to game with me I would definitely have him wait at least a week to get it sorted.
