The fact that doom rewards you with health and bonuses for constantly moving forward and killing every son of a bitch in your path vs falling back and letting your shield recharge behind a barrier plays a huge part of it for me.

To back you up on this, while diamonds can't play placements, people who have achieved diamond and gone under 3k (like deranking to 2700 etc) still keep their little diamond icon, makes sense to me

ya I haven't payed for wow since they introduced the coins well over a year ago, I think it was a really good move to keep their sub numbers up. Plus I mean they still get the money from the token anyways. I can't wait for the extra character tokens to race change/etcetc can make 50k in an hour...
