Or don't slouch like a fucking mongoloid and buy a decent chair to replace your Office Max 100$ "executive leather office chair". I work from home exclusively and spend 8+ hours every day doing IT shit in front of my computer and then however many random hours playing games after that. Often...

    Routers & Other Networking Stuff

Time for process of elimination. Wire something direct to the modem and see if it still loses the signal, if it does you've got an isp issue or the modem itself is just a brick. Very unlikely the router is causing it, as you'd see failures in the interface/local network rather than just...

Think 4k will be doable even with the new nvidia cards? All their presentation bluster sounds amazing, but there's no benchmarks yet and it'd have to be a truly herculean leap forward to be able to run AAA titles at 4k and 60fps reliably.

Heh, they are both IPS too! Maybe it is just what I play? I'm on a 6700k/980ti currently and probably the most taxing game I've played lately is The Division, though I don't actually recall if I tried that on the 2nd monitor or not? Maybe I'm just too much of a stickler for 60+fps and need to...

    Overwatch

I cannot believe people are actually complaining about this being 40$. For all the games we've seen absolutely dumpstered by shitty f2p models I'd think people would be fucking ecstatic about a 40$ boxed copy that is the "complete game".

I have both a gsync and a freesync 1440p/144hz and you literally cannot tell a difference between the two (freesync isn't enabled on the 2nd monitor) unless you tank your framerate way down in to the 30s. I'm sure gsync doessomethingin the 100+ range but you'll never see it.

The 99% thing also happens because it won't actually give you the 100% until there are no enemies contesting it anymore, so it can get stalled out there for a long time by winston/reinhart etc.

I mean yea, I'm sure there is matchmaking of some kind out there, but I like playing Widow and even a moderately played Genji mostly ruins my life no matter how good I am at her.

The real issue you're going to run in to is finding a mobile motherboard that even supports anything more than 16gb of ram. Very very few of them (if any?) will have more than a pair of dimm slots, so you're talking about either having 16gb as your cap with a 2x8 setup, or maybe getting 32 with...

Game is a riot, but I feel like once the player base levels up and the real autists for tracer/genji start to come out of the woodwork I'll be having a lot less fun.

Gsync is really only important if your framerate is gonna dip below 60 pretty often it feels like. I've got a gsync monitor and it seems no different at all than using my old 144hz monitor, but again I don't play anything right now that would ever dip below 60fps anyway. Unless you want to...

    Enter the Gungeon

There's really two ways of handling with the mouse. One is to just click mouse1 to fire, which also has the advantage on certain guns of firing faster. All the revolvers for example have a higher fire rate when you click rather than hold. It also cuts your reload time a ton for single shot...

    Enter the Gungeon

Gamepad has auto aim but is still much shitter shooting than with a mouse. Dodgerolling and movement in general is better with an analog stick though. I prefer keyboard overall, having dodge roll on mouse2 and reload on a thumb button is what feels best so far.

    Enter the Gungeon

Shop on the first floor will always have a key if you haven't found one yet, so always check it first so you can pick up a key for 25 brass. Secret rooms are slanted towards sticking off of the dungeon map rather then being someplace interior, so better to check outer walls for them...

New intel cpus are on a new socket, so you'd need a new mobo. Wouldn't bother with that route anyway, you'd see negligible gains in gaming from a new cpu right now. New video card is really what you're looking at, and unless AMD pulls some miracle out of their ass (unlikely) it's a 1070 or...

Definitely check your temps, if the fans are running super fast/loud the actual heatsink portion may not be properly mounted to the cpu. I have an h105 or something like that and it idles at like ~20-25c on a 6700k, so it should keep most cpus at 30c or less under no load. Highest I think...

    DayZ, Arma2, Arma3

No it won't. New renderer has been a long time coming and the performance gains are fairly significant, but it's still too little too late. This is the first major update the game has had in...years? Since it went in to early access? Everything else has been item faffery and that shitty truck...

Great weapons dome those things pretty instantly too. Just charge a swing with an ultra greatsword or greataxe, soak their first bite with hyper armor, then just smash them in the face for a stagger in to visceral and they die instantly.

Bloodborne might have been the best if it wasn't a goddamn PS4 exclusive. The shit tier framerate just ruined that game for me. I'm not usually one to be such a stickler for it when it comes to console games, but in a game look Souls/Bloodborne it's just fucking murder for my enjoyment...

Wait for Friday, should see some benchmarks pop up by then or the weekend. the 1070 or however they name it eclipsing a 980 ti is pretty unlikely, but it'll definitely be a step up from a 970, maybe even on par with a 980? For what it's worth I sold my 980 about 2 months ago for ~300$, so...

Well, a lot of us already have like 100+ hours in DS2 between the original and scholars relaunch, so sure, plenty of the areas are pretty well figured out. Hyper armor is indeed tied to the weapon, and mostly to the size of it. Being fully naked with an ultra greatsword you won't get staggered out of attack animations as long as you've started it before getting hit. You'll take an asston of damage cause of the way armor and mitigation works, but...

    Dark Souls 3

Hyperarmor is completely independent of poise. 0 poise vs 30 poise is still the exact same when using a great weapon, very easy to go test it out. Like, poise is literally disabled in config files. You can go play offline and enable it yourself and see how different the game is, just be wary...

Steel protection is pretty OP, it's mostly better than your entire suit of armor just on its own. Chlorathany feels kinda not worth it this time around. Lloyds sword ring can be amazing depending on your playstyle on how much you can keep the buff active. Havels is a bit of a must if you want to...
