So I just watched all 4 seasons of this the last two weeks and holy shit man...the best sci fi show I've ever seen. I watched the Mandalorian right after and I think coming off The Expanse hurt how I felt about that.

I'm so confused.

Christmas is always a hard time for me. Trying to keep my head above water and act jolly for the sake of my wife and her son. I love them both and they don't deserve to have their holiday wrecked because I'm a mess inside over not having all my kids together with me and them (wife and stepson)...

I get that...but our xmas is basically just a gift exchange in a hotel. Not many great childhood memories are in hotels. Usually, thats when you're older and your wife is at home still.

For me it’s myself having memories growing up with my family, waking up and opening gifts with my brother and parents. It was awesome. My two oldest have no such memories with me, and never will. And it kills me more and more inside each year.
