There are ratings and also actor contracts. If you get some core actor saying "wtf, I want off the show!", their choices are either recast (risky to the point of almost being implausible if they have done a ton of seasons), kill them off (which is a problem if they aren't killed in the book)...

Book 4 and 5 are supposedly going to be jumbled together for the seasons that cover them, which makes sense. But that only gives them 3 more seasons before they hit a wall (pun lol). Assuming the next book is out by then and depending on the content, then you maybe have 1 or 2 seasons there...

Marg already had to step lightly when Joffrey basically challenged her during the scene where he was trying out his new crossbow on the boar head. She will probably do the same if she finds out about Ros, but she will try to get a feel for how she fits in with Joffrey's new hobby.

The fact Arya didn't destroy Needle shows that she doesn't want to fully invest herself in the Faceless (at the cost of divesting herself). I might be concerned if she ends up destroying it, though.

I don't think the actress who plays Shae could have sold it. However, Sansa's full on sob at the end of the episode pretty much told you all you need to know.

I wouldn't be surprised if that little revelation, in concert with Tywin undermining their Sansa plot, helps drive their plot to kill Joffrey.

From a business perspective, removing factions would streamline future content development. Didn't GC say the new feature would create a ton of stuff to do? Given the fact the faction stuff only makes a huge difference pre-level cap, I can't help but think the big change is something else.

Westerlings would stand to gain a lot by having Robb's child. Said child also messes with LF and Bolton's plans for gaining Winterfell by blood, since I imagine Robb's kid still trumps everyone else from a succession stand point.

Removal of hard coded factions would help solve faction imbalance issues and let more players interact, which would be beneficial for long term health.

Meta was worth it back when it granted the flying skill (at the time, it was very expensive). Now, not so much. The mount scaling was nice though, since it let you fly your favorite mount vs. the fastest one.

Not bad. Real test will be next week, though, to see if the ratings bump is real.
