    Guild Wars 2

I think most of it is that I'm just burned out on instanced RPG pve content. And when I say instanced it's mostly highly structured, highly scripted and often gimmicky. I don't have any answers as to what a good PVE dungeon in GW2 would be, sorry. I just know that I wanted to blow my brains...

I never really understood why it takes fighters so long between fights.

    SimCity

None of this stuff outweighs the negatives. There's nothing fundamentally different from the gameplay you get in SimCity4 from a SimCity where some jerkoff creates a dump next to you and you get his debris. Always on internet connection doesn't enable cloud computing, it forces it.

    LOTTERY WINNER...what if ?

This really isn't that much fun if you give me the right answer instead of saying that a second ticket doesn't change your odds much.

    Guild Wars 2

Ok so I've only done a few dungeons, but every encounter I've seen is "figure out the comical nature of the boss and how to dodge their silly attacks and either attack them or perform the puzzle". I got tired of that in WoW raiding.

    LOTTERY WINNER...what if ?

I remember the last time this discussion happened on this forum and it got this far: If I buy one ticket for the powerball, my odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510. What are they if I buy two tickets?

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

More evidence that we're just in a big software simulation and the programmers used an unsigned variable to determine energy. As a layman this sounds extraordinary and very suspicious. Like the dudes that said they got a particle to accelerate FTL.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

The difference between a true AI and something people actually want is becoming increasingly academic as we improve our processing and software. Shit like SIRI isn't a true AI system, but it sure is intelligent and artificial.

Who is lawnmower man? Also you missed the whole dynamic between Leo and Jackson. Leo is a relatively dumb trust-fund kiddie and Jackson was the real brains of the operation. Jackson practically raised Leo and while he acts subservient to him in public, he tells Leo what to do.

    The Walking Dead

Do you actually make decisions in this game? And do the results make sense or is it, "Oh you chose the smart thing, rocks fall everyone dies" ? edit: nevermind, lol. This really looks and sounds like watching a movie you have to press the play button every few seconds on.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

Some of the stuff (The things you picked) is factual. The problem is that these tech sites always pick up some novel research that some researcher is exaggerating, then dumb it down by overstating its current state of progress and imagining up real-world applications.

You can't zerg the dungeons, but they're so gimmicky it's more annoying than anything. The tank-heal-dps paradigm is much better than what they made.

Nearly everything in that list is pre-mature. It's like a list of the top 27 things that fake tech news sites have over-stated in 2012.

Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarted Sandbox Space Flight Sim)

Having not played Eve nor Elite (Besides a few minutes yesterday where I could only play long enough to realize I needed a joystick) what does Elite:Dangerous have that Eve doesn't? From what I can see Elite has a more twitchy combat system and fewer options that require complex menus to...

Yeah Machida does that slap-cross a lot. I think the whole "divert the attack while counterstriking" is prevalent in TMA (Partially because it looks so good when doing demonstrations) but only world-class practicitioners like Lyoto can do at the UFC level in MMA, especially when they fight...

Yeah hipster and pretentious are not interchangeable. A hipster is pretentious in a backwards and more annoying way. As an example it'd be pretentious for me to say that future movies at 24fps can't hope to achieve the visual quality that a 48fps movie can.

A Song of Ice and Fire (Released Spoilers)

Yeah in the book Tyrion is a bit of an athletic super hero. Not only is an excellent tumbler but every combat scene shows him destroying people. I'm kind of glad they didn't try to make Peter Dinklage obliterate fools like it was an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess.
