    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

One of the parts of other funded KS projects I've noticed is the lower 'investment' fees being offered. Kingdom Come has cheaper options as did Pathfinder, and a few others posted on here. Probably the biggest reason some KS'ers get funded is the price is right. Who cares if the game isn't...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

That was my question. I'm a damn proud 06'er so you guys might have a point. Even though I watched the forums earlier as well. Just didn't have anything to add back then. Now, I just throw my shit around, lol. Edit- Trathos knows less about this community than Brad does about what classes are...

I really like the variety and my favorites are the last one in every row of the first group. Would be nice to see multiple options like the Warhammer lizardmen have. This includes multiple color options.

    EQN:Landmark Beta Starts March 26th!

This is no different than many FTP games on the market now. To truly grow, you have to either constantly be playing or paying a fee. Don't want or need a large plot? Then you just have to play a certain amount every week(or whatever). Large plots can really limit the world. I have no problem...

    EQN:Landmark Beta Starts March 26th!

They really do need to work on that aspect. I definitely understand their reasoning for normal plots but there should be a feature where plots can be combined into a large whole for groups that want to do this.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Lithose, I completely agree this KS was botched from Day 1. Brad has done everything possible poorly. I just don't see that magical EQ support I've heard about for years. Developers, publishers, and non-EQ fans haven't either. I wouldn't blame anyone for not supporting this lack of effort...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Brad has gotten 1500 people to support this. That is not massive support. Jacobs finished with 15,000. Sure, it's still very early. I don't see 15,000 backing this. And I sure don't see anyone else making this type of game. Pretty simple position honestly. Oh, and the context argument is...

    EQN:Landmark Beta Starts March 26th!

That's a decent sized plot TBH. I would like to know the limits they put on multi-plot ownership. If the costs are not too high, 2-4 plots is a pretty significant space for making stuff. Can't wait to get started.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

I definitely understand that. The question is, " do you want it or not?" There is no other question and there is no one else that wants to make this game. Either you support it or you really didn't want this kind of game. There's really no middle ground on that sentiment. I personally would like...

I also find this thread hilarious. Years of the same lol, 'diehards' bitching about getting another EQ and they'd definitely support such a vision. Take my money right??! LOL. Well only if the KS looks good. Well, only if certain classes are in. Well, only if the death penalty is very harsh...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

This was company resources and it cost him a lot when this happened. If it's ok for people to GIVE him the resources, then this shouldn't be a problem. This should not be a discussion point on every other page. KS is all about donations. If you don't want to give, then don't. No explanations...

The KS still hasn't recovered from the lost pledge earlier. They need to hit that PCGamer info out of the park. I will definitely check it out but still really expecting generic and average info from it like everything else has been.

I think his examples are quite good. We need to get past old MMO standards when we talk about what this game is trying to do. It isn't so much everyone gets to be everything as everyone gets to make their own type of hero. The warrior with two axes who teleports behind his target when the mob...

At some point you have to upgrade your computer. As a gamer, that is even more important. Asking people to upgrade to the current decade of reqs? Shouldn't really be an issue. This isn't like VG where it asked some dedicated horsepower. This just asks for some updates over the past decade.

I was mostly in EQ2 at that time as well. Nek Castle was amazing and I really enjoyed the game for the year I played it. My friends and guildies both left EQ 2 at different times for WoW though. I tried it for a while in 2004 but went all out in 2005. I also didn't think it would explode like it...

EQ really was great in it's first few years as was vanilla WoW. SoL was just like BC to me. Some good parts but the focus on different worlds and some new elements were just blah. Well, Mr Rustled Jimmies, further funding for this project would look exactly at backers and funding toimply total available interest. That's all about the tier being a bad deal. This is still a form of purchase where the merchant has to give sufficient value. They need to find a way to 'fix' these bad tiers. The $55 tier will be good around Day 35 if funding is high enough. Then, just getting in is worth slightly worse...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah, now we just have to see if there really is a group of people that want this type of game. Eight thousand $100 pledges would get this funded. Or even around sixteen thousand at the $45 tier. Where are the old diehards? I can't believe there isn't sixteen thousand people that would play a...

Going back to the tier discussion, I think adding more $45 pledges was a great idea. 750 was too low and realistically, there's not much further up the chain you can go with a limited reward like that. Games sell for $60 normally so why jump on the KS? Cheaper game, and some very small benefits...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah, I just don't like that system. The game is more about loot than any other factor. Much like WoW is all about loot. Advancement is all about loot and that eventually leads to massive item creep. You sit in one spot doing nothing for hours just for a piece if gear. Hoping for better from...
