The class level milestone quests don't give bonus XP for HQ items. Usually the base requirement itself is a regular or HQ version of an item (it will tell you). Crafting leves, on the other hand, do give bonus XP for HQ handin. The GC daily also gives you double XP/seals for HQ handins.

Levels after 50 are mostly useful to pick cards you didn't pick pre-50, so best used for stuff like crafting/secondary builds/etc.
