Yeah, in any game with iframe moves (the dodge roll makes you literally invulnerable for x frames), it's best to align your thinking around that invulnerability.

I believe you can keep playing your current campaign, while having the option to convert to NG+ at any point. If I recall, this is what they did in Dark Souls 2 (possibly 3 as well, I forget).

Re: Flask of Physick, there's a vendor-bought note very early on that points to it. Overall, I think they've done a VERY good job at pointing you toward things of interest. Statues that point to catacombs, ghostly dudes that walk you to caves, vendor-bought notes that tell you where to find...

I haven't explored Caelid, but as far as I can tell from my playthrough so far, those statues point exclusively to Catacombs. So I'd be looking for that.

Good question. Without knowing for sure, my guess is at the very least you'll have negative scaling for the holy damage.

HP regen talisman location:

HP regen is soooo good in these games. I think there are several different styles of talisman for FP regen. I do think there's something with just pure regen over time, but I think it's pretty late game.
