I got a little closer to repairing my busted drive that might have a bit of doge on it. A friend found a bad drive (but with a good pcb) on ebay and I took a 60 dollar gamble. Didn't work but I can sort of halfway talk to it with this dodgy russian tool for fixing western digital drives. If I...

Today I had another go at replacing the PCB on the dead drive I have that might have a good chunk of doge on it. No luck, but the drive spins and bios sees it as a device with 0 storage and a blank serial number. So might be more things I can do.

I bought bags. I feel dirty but this creativity must be rewarded. Possible, alleged creativity (we still don't know the details)
