Silence removal isn't a monk-specific nerf. They've actively pruned the ability to silence as opposed to interrupting across the majority of the silence-sources. I'm not really enjoying "press a button every 3-4 second" version of Windwalker they're going with.

Gear with Gem Slots and good Gem Bonuses is superior to gear without as many slots, since it doesn't scale those down. That's why you need to pick up some Sha-Touched or TOT weapons, for example, for the additional high-core-stat gem slot.

Monk Challenge mode armor was hideous. Never even tried to get it. Next tier Monk armor is looking pretty dumb too. I do like the current red gear though. It's kind of generic, but good looking generic.

As long as I've got Magic Damage Stagger I'm totally fine with less avoidance. The increase to our GCD is much more annoying than a 3% avoidance dip that, by its nature, is an equal nerf to both tanks in the raid.
