Be prepared to be disappointed. Their language may not explicitly say it, but from what I've read so far, what they're really saying is "yep, it's going mainstream full-retard for more sales." Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised, but the almighty dollar will likely win again.

You can prevent it by understanding that in the vast majority of cases, you have a limited time frame to make a move and establish concrete interest. Continuing to spend time with a girl past this time frame without doing so takes you completely off her radar. And basically what Sutekh said.
