Not many in my group like the Descent style games. We're really big into co-op stuff, and stuff like Descent would probably be more up our alley if the bad guys were deck-driven or something instead of player-controlled, if that makes any sense.

I'd get Pandemic first btw, play it a number of times and if people are into it then give Legacy a shot. It's a relatively cheap game and should be in the collection. People might not like losing, and Pandemic is one of those games where you'll probably lose a lot.
