The problem is that there is no game out there that is crazy new and amazing for them to iterate on and make better. So they are having a tough time making something amazing. That's my theory.

I play games in spurts. I'll buy 4X games off of steam and play them non stop for 3-4 days then drop them. I'll play MMOs for a few hours a week for a month or two and drop them. However, I find myself playing neverwinter a lot right now (few hours a night).

I just got my cleric up to level 33? I think last night. The game is so much more enjoyable as a cleric compared to my GWF who I got up to 50. It's not even survivability, it's just on kill speed. The Paragon at-will attack for a GWF hits for shit damage.

Every single class in this game is a DPS/X where X is a tank or healer. You have to have dual spec. That was actually a fun part of RIFT having 4-5 different specs for different fights. It's one of the things the game always did right.
