So I just recently re-watched American History X on Netflix. They removed the curb stomping scene. What the hell? The movie makes almost no sense without that pivotal scene.

That's already how a lot of rares/boss mobs in the open world work. I'd rather not have that though, make them truly rare and always drop loot. Like Poseidus (well he used to be rare anyway) or Aeonaxx or TLPD.

Doesn't seem to be an issue on classic servers. Dungeon content is harder in retail than it was in vanilla. The issue back then was knowledge and MMO experience of the broad playerbase in general (most people were not EQ veterans like us)

Would be great to have to have both. Say an instanced BRD and an overworld, contested BRD. With all the same mobs, and even the same drops. The instance drops BoP items, and the overworld area drops sellable, BoE items (maybe even without level restrictions). That will never happen though...

How often did you ever really run into camping problems in Sebilis or Chardok if you were in a group capable of moving even moderately deep into those two dungeons? It wouldnt work in a game with WoW's population but it was much better than nothing but instanced dungeons.

I've grown to really dislike instanced dungeons. They aren't fun. I don't care how much you try to tell me BRD was a great dungeon. It wasn't. It's not fun. I would much rather have a choice between camping or crawling over running and resetting. The closest thing to this in WoW is the jaedenar...

You think it's easier to create raids that most people won't even truly experience than it is to create questlines/factions for unique rewards that everyone can experience? I completely disagree.

That's the problem. MMOs tend to revolve around end game repetition instead of actual character building or exploration. A game filled with easter eggs or tons of specialty items tied to specific, off the beaten path factions and such would be much more enjoyable to me than this "epic raiding"...

The game can be enjoyable if you don't care about making meaningful progress in any specific timeframe. If you have a goal to accomplish and don't want it to take 2-3 months the game is frustrating as hell.

B&W is bigger than most standalone games. It's just a really great DLC. I agree the story in HoS is better but the new systems, player housing, new items and more gwent make B&W the better DLC.

This is why the idea of buying a "starter home" or "fixer upper" is hilarious and outrageous to me.

Heh... what is the purpose of removing that mount? It's a vendor mount that costs 5 million gold. Not like it's a special achievement mount that will be trivial when the next expansion comes out so it needs to be removed to preserve the prestige of having one...
