Yep. I think their ability to support NK is contingent on how a conflict arises. If SK/US provokes it then China would have more of a defense if they participate, but if NK starts shelling SK again then their defense is ruined. We could just wait for them to attack SK enough that China...

Their ability to conduct a prolonged war is 100% dependent on whether China backs them or not. If they don't back them there are all kinds of logistical reasons why they'd be fucked.
