i'm sure his genius is stil in the code that will be doom4. the problem is doom2's gameplay was greatly influenced by the other guys at id back then. john romero, american mcgee, few others. those guys would DM ALL the time, and the balance in MP showed.

the reason d1/2 were so great was the multiplayer, it started the whole first person shooter craze. doom3 was more story and graphics. just give us a balanced game w/ replayability, and some silent bfgs

only reason it seemed out of place for her to say "you know nothing jon snow" was due to it becoming an internet meme i think. didn't seem out of place to me and the scene really played out well.

i've done 12 jumps, 11 in san marcos and 1 up in temple. only thing holding me back was $$. i've also done about 30 minutes at ifly. while indoor skydiving is fun, hell of a lot cheaper, it's missing the thrill of jumping out of a plane.
