DH is noticeably ahead of the other classes, in both live and end of season 4 ptr. Everyone else is pretty close together. I would still say play what's fun. I don't think any class is gimpy enough to restrict gameplay options, like monks were before this patch.

Can you link your bnet profile? Curious how you're specced. I feel like lightning is great for damage, but against higher grifts, you either have to be cold/rimeheart or holy/sunwoko. Booze, what's your criteria for comparison?

I know you haven't had much luck with grift keys, but next time, purposefully tank the trial. And almost tank the ensuing grifts until you have all the gems. They are very high drop rate from the guardians and they won't drop one you don't already have unless another character has it on them...

It's probably safe to assume now that if a damage type is mentioned, it benefits from +elemental%. Why is 2H fire silly now? Seems an odd choice for hardcore.

I would sacrifice 20% elemental for mini conduit or primary skill/2% heal on hit or +damage% to snared enemies on my lightning monk. Substitute smite gem for mini conduit if holy. For a cold monk, I do agree, the choices become less obvious. Maybe 20% damage after killing elites? Moratorium...

Finding suitable amulets and rings is a huge pain in the ass. They should really clean up the available affixes in those slots. I rolled 100+ rare amulets(I had a ton of those cheap gems) before I found one with CC/CHD/stat/socket. Now that a legendary gem takes the place of elemental damage...

No goblin portals for me yet and I even got the room full of them. Probably my punishment managing to kill all of them. I honestly don't know what the spawn rate is supposed to be.

Grifts aren't meant for loot anyway. They are for gems(and upgrading them) and XP. Regular rifts are for items. Goblin realm is for gold. Bounties are for killing yourself.

You don't have to do that. It's so that you don't waste your first few finishing grifts upgrading gems you'd rather not. In the larger scheme of things, with how many times you might upgrade even one gem, this is probably inconsequential.

Legendary gems are very high drop rate and won't duplicate(unless equipped on another character). I would suggest tanking your first couple trials so you can run a bunch of easy grifts and get all of the gems before finishing a grift at the intended difficulty.

The change to loh coefficients make it hard to grasp how much the changes will improve those stats. The difficulty to higher grifts seems to be shit killing you instantly. loh and life regen won't help with that.

Ladder rankings or grift clear times? Didn't even think to check ladder rankings when I was on PTR. Nobody is talking about them and the information isn't that useful. If the season lasts long enough into the gear collection curve, the grift clear times should be minorly influenced by botters.
