Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

This movie was very, very Gunn. I really enjoyed it and thought it was on par with the 2nd one, which makes it one of the better MCU movies in general and certainly better than what we've mostly been getting from Marvel recently. Do miss Yondu though. Rooker was so good.

The way the new CBA is going to work is you're really only going to get to have 2 guys you can really pay. There's just so much overlap with Tatum and Brown I think it's going to be hard to really win with those 2 and a bunch of cheap guys. I wonder if teams are going to try and do the 2 guys...

only 48 or whatever dress for each game. the emergency QB would be an additional guy that doesn't count towards that, but yes they'd have to be part of the overall 53 man roster.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Captain America is also a good MCU trilogy. I don't think it's as good as GotG but it's solid. There's a lot of other trilogies where 2 of the 3 are amazing but one of the installments makes it hard to put on any of these kind of lists. Godfather in particular comes to mind. Also as a random...

Guess that depends on how you define tiers. Like if you grade harshly and say tier one is just Pops and Spoelstra then he's like tier five.

that doesn't make giving up 12, 33 and probably a top 5 pick next year for Anderson a good trade.

And I feel like that's sort of what he's trying to do to anyways. Aside from wanting to do the Bane thing it seems like he wants to do some different roles besides just Drax. I liked him in 2049 and Dune and those were pretty different from Drax. I'd like to see what else he can do.

Both of those things can be true. Not sure I'd want anything to do with Kyrie at this point even if it was for like a mid level exemption or some other cap friendly sort of deal. Also, Mavs are a pretty shit organization that basically lucked into 2 generational foreign dudes.

    Knock at the Cabin (2023)

Signs was good until his patented twist. That was unreal terrible though and essentially ruined the movie in a way few things could. Worse than the end part of Interstellar even and it was pretty much the true beginning of the end of him making decent movies at that point.

Top Gun Maverick was a cool experience on the big screen and it's a fun movie but if it shouldn't be the best movie over any reasonable stretch of time. That says more about the average level of modern movies than anything else. As for going out for movies, I'll probably go see GotG3 since...

All those early sets were shit for limited. It wasn't until Mirage where they really put any effort into making sets with limited in mind at all. Like most of those early sets were like 35-40 percent creatures, most of which were shit and had stuff like common X spells.
