Well, that could certainly result in a different set of PMs than the previous post.

    The Tomorrow War (2021)

Best time travel movie is still Kung Fury.

I mean you're going to get some amount of that in almost any non real time actiony type online games due to people just being distracted or whatever. Rope is there if it's super egregious but yeah sometimes people are absurdly slow. it even happens in mythic although I'd at least like to think...

    Black Widow (2020)

Why does it have to be one or the other? Maybe she gets introduced this movie and works and there's progression in later movies.

    The Tomorrow War (2021)

Got around to seeing this. There's some entertaining things happening in the movie but it's hard to get past how fucking dumb some basic elements are.

I mean obviously most people aren't going to have ~ 70+ percent win rates and some people buy cosmetic stuff. My point was you can pretty easily cash out of MTGO and buy back in when you want to later on.

    MTG thread

Yeah I feel like MTGO is way easier to walk away from than Arena because of how the collections work.
  8. Sterling

    MTG thread

Plenty of people still play on MTGO and that platform is like 300 years old at this point. I doubt Arena will just fade away in a couple of years.

    Loki

Back to the Future and a couple of others were fine too. But you're right in that it works because they don't try too hard to explain it.

Marriage and the Power of Divorce

The kids have to mow the lawn and wash the car every week or they don't get to have any doctor visits that involve a copay.

Unlikely. This set's mechanics are trash and I haven't really played since Ikoria.

I haven't played 1E in like ~ 30 years but that's definitely where my nostalgia for the game is regardless of the actual modern quality of it. Malaki the Gnome Thief/Illusionist will live on forever.

Kamigawa was a pretty cool limited set and had some fun interactions, it was just had a relatively low power level and was coming off of a block with one of the highest power levels ever so it had a very minimal impact on Standard and constructed in general in comparison. This set seems similar...

Well, some stuff definitely happened this episode.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

I mean CP3 is what he is, but that team is fun to watch. Ayton and Booker are legit.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Well I had suggested that Suns/Bucks would be a cool series, ratings be damned. But Suns/Hawks is cool too. Part why Hawks and Suns being at this point was obviously being relatively healthy compared to other teams in the playoffs, but we'll have to see what these Giannis and Young injuries...

Yeah, I really enjoyed Solar as a take on the S tier power level hero.

2021 NFL Offseason: QB Carousel Imminent -- Retirement Boogaloo

I mean this league has been pandering forever, not sure why people would think this would be any different.

Trailer wasn't terrible, but it'll likely be shit.

    Comic Books

Valiant did some good work. X-O Manowar in particular I really enjoyed. One interesting thing was how they revived some old comics from the 50s and 60s. Turok, Solar, and Magnus were all like that.

Early sets all had some wild cards in them because it was early enough that things were harder to balance. Homelands and Fallen Empires were kind of the first sets that didn't have anything that was too silly besides Merchant Scroll and Hymn to Tourach. Legends is kind of the polar opposite...

Mirage block was the first block that they actually designed with Limited in mind. Drafting Ice Age or 4th edition or whatever is so bad in comparison.

Sagas were ok since they mostly just did what they did. This shit is way too much hassle and just seems shitty in general.

Yeah Spurs once and Raptors once. He's definitely better than a lot of dudes already in the HoF. Basketball HoF is pretty notorious for how easy it is to get in compared to the other sports.

There are legit good old movies. Also there are some movies you should appreciate for what they did for film that aren't necessarily very good watches today.

    Indiana Jones 5 (2020)

I mean you can say you enjoy it more even if it's mostly nostalgia. but there are people that seem to think that fringe starters in the 90s would be borderline all stars today when it's completely the other direction. That totally belongs in a different thread than this one though. This...
