Yeah there are numerous flaws to bid systems. we did 10 percent on phinny and 25 percent each expansion launch but you'd still end up with people with piles of dkp just due to being close to BiS and nothing to bid on for a month.

most systems have a decay of some type for this reason. Total reset is real awkward. In some of the older fixed price systems you'd average out the guild's dkp to 0 every week or whatever so that roughly half the guild would be negative at all times.

The difference is on a TLP PoP is one of the most shallow expansions and people are basically done within a couple of weeks. Luclin and GoD both have much better replay value.

It's added with TSS which was sort of the leveling reboot expansion so it fits for that. The tutorial is set for GoD I think and you get a set of rebranded crude defiant from that which lasts you through most of the leveling game if you're leveling an alt or whatever at that point.
