Scry N would give you more opportunity to keep some cards on top instead of the bottom, London mulligan gives you much higher control over your actual opening hand. While Scry N would be better in some instances London Mulligan will be better in a much higher percentage of hands.

That's just not how TLP works. In the early expansions stuff will die really fast. With XP the way it is on Selo, I think you'll be surprised how fast VT gets cleared.

Soloing in general is pretty bad on TLP due to group bonuses really making grouping much better. If you just mean soloing some relatively easy camps in the early expansions while playing once a week you'll probably want something that's relatively low on gear requirements so some kind of caster...

Axis and Allies was very different in the early versions when the Brits only had 1 infantry unit in Africa. Germany could quickly shitstomp Africa and build up large stockpiles of resources. Later versions fixed it.

I mean you can't request a lot of progression missions without 3 characters in a group so you'd need at least 1 more player since you can't have 2 mercs. SK with healer merc would probably be stronger later on.

A lot of that stuff is baked into the game at this point. You won't get old Freeport etc. P99 is closer to the original EQ than TLP but it's not in classic and it's been around awhile to mature so not sure what it's like to start fresh there since I've never actually played there.
