A SSD is always a worthwhile upgrade if you don't have one, so I would just do that until you are ready to do a full rebuild. That CPU should still be decent for another year or so. 8 GB of RAM is adequate in most situations and you'll have to buy new RAM anyway when you upgrade the CPU and...
Black flag was the best of the ones I've played, but I haven't played any since then. 1 was decent but repetitive, the 3 Ezio games were good but the 3rd was a bit meh. Skip 3 as Connor was insufferable.
Cruising around singing shanties and plundering fools was lots of fun in Black Flag though.
Fucking Spectrum. I moved on 11/4, switched my service to the new place, and paid my November bill as normal. Everything seemed fine at the time. I got a bill 2 weeks ago saying I hadn't paid for November and now owed for December as well. I called them up and asked what the hell was going on...
My PS4 Pro will be hooked up to either my monitor or a 9 year old 32" 720p tv until I buy a 4k tv sometime next year.
It gets here today, I've got FF12 Zodiac age coming with it and I'm going to grab Bloodborne. HZD is on the list for later and I already have Nier and Nioh on pc. What other...
I could swear hearing that Samsung did an update that allowed you to disable the Bixby button.
Yup, they did. How to completely disable the Bixby button
Single guy here, only one woman who I would consider a close friend. She's the wife of a friend I've known since high school and I've known her for almost 15 years now.
We hang out together from time to time since we both enjoy drinking good beer while watching bad movies that her husband...
Fuuuuuuuuck. I couldn't resist.
Traded in my PS3 (amazon doesn't want any of my games) and got a PS4 Pro and FF12 Zodiac Age for a grand total of $268 since apparently the Amazon moving promo applies to PS4s
So what would you guys recommend for water cooling? I've always used air coolers but I figure I'll try water cooling out. I want something simple, quiet and preferably $150 or under.
Got the case on Tuesday but the rest of the parts didn't even ship until Wednesday. In that time they've gone from Indiana to Ohio and have been bouncing around to various locations in Ohio over the last 36 hours despite being scheduled to be delivered to me in NY today.
Fuck you FedEx.
Yeah, I had bookmarked that when I saw the discussion about delidding before. I think I'll wait and see how it runs first before I take that plunge. I probably will end up doing it though.
For all it's flaws and lack of faithfulness to the books, I do have a soft spot for Lynch's Dune.
Having seen Blade Runner, I think that if Denis Villeneuve is allowed to make the movie he wants to, I'll probably enjoy it.
I would really move away from the all in one unit and get a separate modem and router.
I'm using a SB 6141 with an Asus RT-AC66U and am happy with both. Depending on your ISP and how fast your connection you might need the next step up on the modem side.
I already have the 212 evo on my current build, so I'll just use that for the time being. If it proves to not be good enough once I figure out how much I want to overclock it, I'll look for something better.
I've had my 2500k for nearly 6 years now and I'd like this build to last a long time as well. I was considering the 8700k, but I'm not convinced it would get me all that much more time for the extra $100+.
So it's time for me to start planning my new desktop. I'll be buying parts over the next few months, looking for deals.
After maybe 30 min fucking around on pcpartpicker, this is what I've come up with to start with:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: Intel - Core...
