Cell networks are still pretty shitty shitty where I live, so I have a habit of keeping lots of music and video on the device, plus I often use it as a substitute flash drive. 64 GB would have been fine, but 32 GB is just too small.

Made by Google You can preorder it now. Says it ships in 2-3 weeks. I decided to hell with it, I've worked enough overtime in the last 2 months to treat myself and went with a XL 128 GB version. 32 GB is just too little storage for me nowadays.

Nope, the Oneplus 3 is GSM only, so no Verizon or Sprint.

Free, unlimited storage on Google photos, Google assistant (likely coming to other phones as a replacement for Now), 24/7 live support, supposedly one of the best cameras ever (note they stated "Of the devices we tested") and it will work on any carrier.

Saying they are proud to work with Verizon again was pretty funny. They Galaxy Nexus was a clusterfuck on Verizon. I had the sprint version and I still had to root it to get the latest version of android.

They said you'll be able to pre order it today. Play store is down atm.

Was just about to post that. I'll probably buy it anyway, goddammit. They fucked up with the blue version though, having the front of the phone still be white looks pretty dumb.

Pretty much the same experience here. If it ships from NJ it's effectively 2 day shipping for me.

    Marvel's Luke Cage

Work has been slow so I've managed to watch 2 episodes so far. Really liking it. It looks like episode 3 is going to be where all the good stuff starts.

    Windows 10

I can completely understand people not wanting to upgrade from 7, as it's still perfectly fine. Make sure you go through the privacy options instead of doing the express setup though.

That is more along the lines of what I was expecting for pricing. The more recent rumors of the sailfish starting at $649 and things going up from there have me a bit worried though. Hopefully they end up wrong.

    Smartphones

Well, if the pricing rumors prove to be true, I'll probably just pick up a 6P then. For $850 there better be something amazing in that phone for me to even consider it.

First guess would be heat. Open it up and blow out all the dust, maybe re do the heat sink. Might want to check temperatures as it's running.

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

Who the fuck thinks eating ground turkey that has sat in a car for several days is a good idea and then is surprised when he's not feeling well after eating it? I never thought I'd have the answer to this question, much less the need to ask it.

I've bought several windows and office keys from s5ean on that reddit. Only had an issue with 1 key not working and he had a new one for me within an hour. Never had any other issues.

    Must Have Software

When setting up computers for people, I've been installing uBlock if they want an ad blocker, but if they already had ABP I left it alone. Once I saw that I knew I'd be telling anyone I see using ABP to make the switch. Whitelisting benign ads I can understand, as shit needs to get paid for...

It's listening for you to say "OK Google", then it sends everything it hears to Google. You can actually go to your Google account and listen to what it has recorded.

    Shadow Warrior 2

4 player co-op, weapon customization, procedural content. This is looking like it could be a lot of fun. Preorder is an extra 10% off if you own the previous one, so it's only $32. So tempted.

    Smartphones

Oh I definitely want a Nexus (Pixel) as I want up to date vanilla android if I decide no to root it along with support for all carriers. I had Sprint in the past (EVO 4G, Galaxy Nexus) and a friend uses Ting, but the network isn't good enough where I live to rely on Sprint alone. If my coverage...

The pro-rated data is the reason I'm willing to give Fi a shot. T-Mobile is ass here and Sprint isn't a lot better. Unsure about US Cellular. Once the new Nexus (or Pixel according to rumors) is released I'll be trying it. Hopefully it is good enough, as I rarely use more than 2GB of data, so...

That is really overkill and over the top end of the budget, considering he has added speakers to the list. I wouldn't even buy an i7 for myself. The case might be a good option though and I hadn't thought about using a M.2 SSD. I doubt he'd notice the difference performance wise, but it's not...

Shit, I forgot the power supply. That's what I get for doing this at work. As far as storage goes, he's got several HDs from the computer it's replacing if he needs more. He's definitely not interested in OCing it ever, plus water cooling scares him. He doesn't want to ever have to tweak...

A friend of mine is asking me me to build him a $1k-$1.5k system (preferably on the lower end) and this is my first pass. He's not a heavy gamer, I think the most taxing thing he plays is Diablo 3 and Skyrim, but he's going to keep the system for 4-5 years and doesn't want to worry much about...

I always hated backspace>back. I have never used it intentionally, but I accidentally used it often enough that I was glad to see it go. Unfortunately most of those accidental uses of it happen at work in IE.
