problem is, something like 75% of "safes" sold at big box/home stores can be forced up in under 5 mins with hammer/pry bar. gunlocks are fairly easy to defeat too. i have a pistol with key lock built in, don't know how strong they are. pretty sure you can pick up the key for a couple of bucks.
