The only one of those that seemed to do any justice to what a big quake feels like was the Alaska one. The 8.3 Chile one in the airport people looking fucking bored. I can't even imagine an 8+ earthquake. For some reason those all didn't seem to last very long, either.

I played about 15-20 minutes. It doesn't seem super fun, but maybe I'm missing the appeal? Survival games are kind of my genre, too.

    Weather

Glad I'm not the only one. Been noticing that for years, actually. The record is always like 5+ degrees higher than the highest station during the day. Seems fucky. It's been very mild this year. And last. Mid June and we're in the 80's today. Usually we're in the 100's by now. We had like 3...

That's what happens when scientists become morally bankrupt and start getting political. They've expended any kind of credibility they had. Don't blame us for their fuckups.

Article about how the San Andreas is probably mostly dormant, and the real threat is Walker Lane (stretching along the eastern Sierras up to Tahoe). It was written in April 2019, 3 months before the Ridgecrest quakes started. This year the Lunar Crater Lava Field (Tonopah, NV) has been quite...

    No Man's Sky

Picked this up finally a couple weeks ago. Have about 60 hours invested in it. I want to say I like the game, and I guess I did for the first 30 hours or so. But I eventually hit a point where it just became...tedious? When you're trying to establish yourself, it's really fun. But eventually...

Literally every time I'm in this thread, it's people saying "Just bought some puts in on X" or "Bought some of stock Y. Gonna hold it for Z number of days." Basically ever since mid-February. Shit, lemme just look at the last page. Post about cruise lines stocks, you posted one about buying...

Haven't kept up with this thread as it's basically become the market timer/day-trader thread, but I've read a few posts every couple weeks and feel bad that most of you weren't just dollar cost averaging.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019

Honestly, the classic mode felt WAY better. No money, no loadouts, no buying back in, no gulag. Just a normal BR. Unfortunately I think it was trios only. It felt more tactical like PUBG in that you don't just take fucking ridiculous risks like you do when there are 80 ways back in.

An arena. Or multiple arenas, really. You could probably use a decently long skybridge as your first arena.

This is how I view it. And even though he said all his stuff is "nice," you're essentially paying a shipping cost on every single thing you own. We moved across the country to California and got rid of most of our shit because it's just cheaper to buy it all over again. When we leave in the...

I never used magic storage and did okay. I'd say you definitely need recipe browser though. Otherwise you'll either be trying to wiki everything and missing half the items, or just drowning in what to do.

    Terraria

Yeah, that's my disappointment with master mode. More hp isn't adding challenge, just tedium. Game devs who rely on bullet sponges are lazy.
  22. Gravel

    Terraria

That's what I did. You really need a decent sized arena for Queen Bee on master (can just be a single platform about a screen wide, with space above and below). Once I got to Plantera I just made it about 4 times the size. You really need a massive one for Plantera master mode because phase 2...

Geez, what a retarded fucking mechanic to add. It's apparently because Redigit didn't like people using the wrong torches. Awesome idea for a sandbox game you fuckwad. As time goes on, I'm starting to also dislike the town mechanic. The pylons are awesome, but having all my people spread across...

Really? Destroyer wasn't bad. Although I farmed up a Daedalus Stormbow. The Twins however fucking wrecked me. Took me like 5 or 6 tries. I think doing Spazmatism first was the wrong choice. If you get stuck in his spew attack you're dead. Whereas Retinazer is just dodging.

    Terraria

Knocked out Destroyer on master mode. Kind of disappointing now that I've basically only got a handful of bosses left. Also, I hate comparing this to Calamity all the time (I could also go with Thorium, which has different mod developers), but it's sad that master mode is basically expert with...

Did about 8 hours in a 2 player co-op. Just Skeletron and WoF left on normal. It was pretty fucking brutal to start, but we didn't die nearly as much as the streamers on early release day. Not sure I can play this anymore. They really need to do something about the hacking. It's out of control. And the longer they go without addressing it, the more people seem to feel comfortable doing it because there are no repercussions.
