i don't know a lot of IB people, but i have a bunch of friends in FE. definitely some really good players. i don't see TMO losing their grip on VP any time soon, though.

my pally is Madriax, level 36, holed up in Mistmoore with no plans to leave in the near future. before i leave, i want to get all the pieces she needs from there for her Armor of Ro quests, the piece off Xicotl for Soulfire, and a Hooded Black Cloak... maybe some other stuff too. if anyone...

hm weird, /who all count always gives me the same number as the log in screen. i did a lot of /who all count's this last weekend while meditating, mostly checking class #s but also a few just general /who all count's. during prime time it was over 100, usually not a lot more than 100 tho...

100+ people during prime time. for a server that doesn't allow multi-boxing, thats pretty good imo. the EQ Live Test server might have 300+ characters logged into general chat, but how many of those are 6 boxes? etc.

gnoll fangs are such huge EXP on red, with the exp bonuses my pally left blackburrow at level 16 or 17... kinda wish i'd kept her there until like 20. gnoll fangs are just that good.

just make sure to do the tutorial when you make your first character. pretty much everything you need to know is explained in there. some might consider it a tedious amount of reading, but its very worth it to check out what all the NPCs say if you've never EQd before.

been around P99 for a year and a half the tone of the dev posts has changed a lot in the last month or two. they've been dropping some pretty big hints that Velious is going to be out within the next few months. i consent that i definitely could be holding my breath for nothing, though.

started playing again. got my paladin to level 20 tonight, and was handed an Argent Defender moments later. perfect timing, considering the damage cap gets raised at level 20. my DPS pretty much tripled.... definitely pretty re-interested in Red right now.

you need to get to level 10 to chat in global OOC on red. it wasn't always that way, though.... but trollers haven that red is, you can imagine the chaos that went on in OOC when anyone that got silenced/banned could just start up a new free account, roll a level 1, and continue trolling...

at the very least, i hope they use Al Kabor's database as the basis for the new progression servers that are supposedly coming out next year. maybe switch to their main database after PoP, idk. it would be bound to have a bigger population than the Vulak A'err server. during the free gold...

its actually not always that bad out there. i've taken my warrior out there a bunch of times, and was able to pretty much chain pull seafuries when soloing. i could see maybe a bard, a necro, or a mage getting bored out there, but for my warrior's solo kill rate.... was just fine.

someone was looking into emulating this awhile back. i think they decided it would be too difficult to do a fully accurate version since there was no resource like Allakhazam's for EQOA. too many of the details lost in time now that the official servers aren't up. =/

agreed i don't think they'll ever allow this, though, so you just gotta make enough good friends that you won't have to resort to using strangers.
