I don't know about creating the perfect government, but the one issue that nobody really talks about that would make me a single-issue voter is a dramatic increase in research. Let's min/max and rush tech, people.
The entirety of the lists implicitly thinks you're wrong about whether they should be a part of the community. From your posting history that should be motivation enough to write some 100,000 hand crafted arguments.
To reduce the number of emails. I can make another one that sends it to every poster with 9 or fewer posts, but I wanted to hit all the active members of the community before RR was shut down or I was locked out of my admin access.
We're planning on doing another email in the near future using a real email service and not whatever garbage Rerolled.org uses.
Plus this one will be sent out to the 10MB of emails I have backed up from fohguild.org.
There's a lot of garbage emails in there, so we're going to have hodj go...
Oh and a big problem they have is a massive conflict of interest. Their profit vehicles are all based on pokestops and lures, which is the most boring way to play game. The most fun way to play the game involves exploring new areas which they aren't yet monetizing.
They've said from the start they want to have sponsored locations. It makes total sense because I think those locations will generally be lured 24/7. You already have that with businesses luring themselves.
The big question surrounding this "Niantic has a lot of power" is whether they can keep...
Ok, all the emails from RR have been sent out. I am curious if anyone who was registered there, had 10+ posts and had a valid email address did not get one. I am afraid that spam-filters got activated partially through the email blast.
I don't believe this to be true. Unless it's changed I believe that all pokemon spawn either because of lures, incense or static spawn locations. The static spawns correspond to XM Pools.
I hope they allow their database to be used or licensed in some way for future MMARGs. The pokemon game...
This is correct and the dependence on XM pools is a big gap in the game. I expect that it's a surmountable gap for them, especially with the current revenue they have.
If they can secure the data for it, a very simple thing to really improve the game would be to give a broad increase in pokemon...
There's a bunch of old guilds, LotD is one of the few that is still active (and PRX ofc). Few are older than UO/EQ, so this community is in that tier. But the top ranks in terms of age are always going to be the communities that started out with MUDs or neverwinter. Not many are around.
I'd...
In terms of priority I can't argue. The question I have is whether, long term, this game will attempt to capitalize on the very profitable lure-hubs and sponsored pokestops. If so I don't really have much interest in it.
There's basically two valid complaints here:
1. The game would be better if it catered to exploring the "wilderness" outside of densely packed urban environments.
2. The game's original design demonstrated here:
Is widely divergent, and better, from running a tight, dense circuit of pokestops...
Note that Gavinrad's use of "once again" does not imply it was never a fuck you to rural/suburbs. It just means that it's another fuck you to those people.
