I think people's opinion of the game will be largely dependant on if you come from an Elder Scroll background or a MMO background. It will also depend on how much you want the game to be like the Elder Scroll series or a regular MMO.

I think it's a good idea, the difference in queue times will decide if it works or not. I would prefer grouping with people on my server but if the queues for example are 5 mins cross-server vs 2 hours my own server, the choice will be easy...if it's 5 mins vs 10-15mins then it becomes interesting.
