About what? I've shot a very large number of living things with a wide variety of rounds. The only fmj that I ever saw that didn't leave a tiny hole was 7.62x39. Even my big 7.62 nato M1A had very little damage with FMJ rounds.

FMJ don't fragment. They are a product of attrition based warfare where you want a round that will wound rather than kill so more enemy are tied up in treating the wounded. I've seen a called coyote hit 8 times at close range with a full auto 5.56 and it ran almost a mile before it dropped...
