I'd guess there have been dozens of megafloods in the last 300 million or so. The only ones we know about are recent. Younger dryas impact, northeastern US flood from a huge glacial lake draining, and there are a few more I can't remember. Lots of things can cause them, and over long periods...

One thing I really love is the progress bars on skills. Getting little partial skillups etc. Instead of just 1 in 50 chance and if you are unlucky you get nothing for days.
