I think it can also respond to head tilts and such. It seems like a prime candidate for eye tracking software as well if they ever put a rear facing camera on it.
I think that Bullock just has a low tolerance for nonsense, and the S1 minister was a fountain of nonsense. Martha is a wreck over her son and reacting poorly to everyone, not just the minister.
This is true, but you only need one person to do the drafting and put the files up on a torrent site and everyone can use them. Also, I have faith that the scanners will get to the point where they can spit out a pretty damn good 3D model that doesn't require a professional to rework it...
Another CNC mill video just because. If I ever become a billionaire I will get some of these things and have them build weird shit all day just for my entertainment.
I know that Jay Leno has his own CNC Milling machine which is sort of the metal version of a 3D printer that he uses to build obsolete car parts. Obviously it's a little more involved than a 3D printer, but I think they are getting to the point where you can just about plug a 3D model into them...
This article is really old now, but I thought it was a really interesting read about the cult of personality in these places.

There's a lot of types of plastic you can print with now. It's not like the stereolithography shit that they did 20 years ago. When I was in engineering we got prototypes that were called "stereolithography" and that plastic was very brittle but just before I left in '09 we got one of the next...
I could definitely see him getting involved with something like this.
Arrests Made in Maple Syrup Theft from Qebec Warehouse
I wonder how you move $18 million dollars worth of syrup.
The scene with Cochrane talking to Philip interspersed with Cochrane doing the play by play of the conversation was comedy gold for sure.
Dawn summed it up perfectly though, Philip severely overestimates his strengths and is totally blind to his weaknesses. The part where he did a 20 minute...
Having discussed this kind of thing various places online and off, I can tell you that it is a waste of time to cite scientific studies or bring up science at all with these people. The organic folks instantly dismiss any study that shows GMO in a good light or Organic in a bad one as tainted...
One of the things I miss about California is a Togo's hot pastrami sandwich. Subway has one sometimes and it's so pathetic by comparison that I won't even order it. I love a good hot pastrami and I'm pretty sure I've never eaten one in Montana.
I like how the S. Korean soldier just saw an unidentified object in the dark and his reaction was to throw a grenade at it. Must suck to be a cow in that area.
I assume that if he escapes he will go back to Thrace. That said, I don't see any way he escapes when his whole army is killed without being a total bitch so I doubt that he survives.
In real life the last 6000 of Spartacus' rebels are caught by Crassus and crucified all along the road from Rome to Capua. I wonder if they will try to show that. 6000 people dying on crosses must have been pretty horrific.
I did Mount Diablo the day before I left California and I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. What a great ride. I did it in the middle of December and I forgot my helmet and I got rained on and had to get off and push my bike across a couple stretches that were covered with ice. Then...
Monsanto's patent on glyphosate expired in 2000. It's one of the cheapest herbicides that you can buy, and roundup ready crops make many of their more expensive herbicides unnecessary. They're not making roundup ready plants to sell more roundup. And regardless, Monsanto != GMO. Even if they...
How is it a viable business to do research to come up with better seeds if you only get to sell them once? The second that one farmer raises a crop from your seed there is no need for anyone to buy it from you ever again.
As someone in agriculture, the replies in this thread are very encouraging to me. People seem to be more educated than I expected. A couple small corrections.
1) Here's what the USDA defines as "organic" beef.
Born and raised on certified organic pasture
Never receive antibiotics...
